He looks and sounds like a younger Jeremy Rhyming-Slang. Many ostensibly Fine Words. No actual voting against the disgusting policies his party puts forward. Case in point:

Speaks out passionately about mental heath provision for PTSD afflicted military personnel:

Misses first opportunity to grill the health secretary because he's too busy furthering his profile:

And also claims that sufferers are making it up :

Read his book, We Were Warriors back in the summer.
Worth a peruse.
There were some interesting chapters on him becoming an MP.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

He doesn't even sound like a Tory but then as Badge mentioned, what this fella says and what he does could be two completely different things (in which case that would make him a Tory).

It's very confusing knowing who is and who isn't. Can't we just give them special badges or a passbook to make it easier to know whether they're Tories or not? Maybe keep a register too, that kind of thing? And we could keep them all together; I'm sure they'd feel comfortable being with their own kind. And they like walls and fences, so we could build one around them so they don't have to fear the commoners. I'm not sure where this is coming from btw, I think I need a coffee.

The 'say one thing but have a voting record which suggest their real views are quite the opposite' faction.

I would assume there is an element of entering a show like to increase his media exposure as he tries to further his political career...

I make that assumption as I wasn't too aware of him until watching the show.

Saying that he's coming across ok (so far) with Kay Burley far less so.

I've always thought Nicolas Soames was a complete tw*t, the archetypal Tory knob, until I read his articles on Brexit. He's totally against Brexit not because he likes the EU but because he sees the total waste of money needed to complete Brexit and the diminished status of the UK after we've left the EU. His view is to stay in the EU and force it to change its direction which is what I want.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Someone once said having sex with Soames was like having a wardrobe falling on top of you... with the key still in it.

I'll have to try and discover who that was now!

The number of people who have had both those experiences must be minimal.

I wonder whether more people have had sex with Soames or more had a wardrobe fall on them.
