Instead of whom? Downes, at a guess. Interesting to see where he's fielded and what effect it has on the team.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Not a bad idea to rotate the youngsters* in midfield so as to avoid burnout. It shouldn't be seen as a criticism of Downs if he is dropped today.

*Yes I know Bishop is no longer a youngster but he's missed an awful lot of football and is still developing as a player.

I think it reflects the standard of our squad when we put our hope in a player who has never really performed for us except in flashes.

I really hope he can come in and make a difference but fear he’s not as good as many seem to think he is.

He was consistently very good for us when he broke into the first team.

I can't see how putting a technically very good player in the team can be seen as a bad thing!!

Technically very good players are only effective if they’re allowed the freedom to play. I’m not sure we can find the space for him to operate. You have to earn the right to play by winning the battle first.

That said I don’t think our midfield can be a lot worse than they were the other night (Skuse excepted) so probably worth a punt on him, Edun or Dozzell.

There are a number of twtd posters that have stated that bishop will never start a game for us again.

He'll still might never start and finish the same game again. He's only done that once in his Town career afterall.

FWIW I think he's a talented player, I hope he can stay fit.

He mumbled ‘Edam’ and wandered off to get changed.

Possibly misheard me.

Yes, because of his 'attitude problem'.

I don't care if he never completes 90 minutes so long as we get him back to how he was before the injuries. Incredibly talented natural footballer

It's why Tyronne Mings has been out injured so long, they've been reducing the size of his feet so he's no longer 'too big for his boots'.

But he hasnt had a consistent opportunity to play 90 since 3 years ago when he was.......3 years younger. Concentrate on what he can do, not what he can't
