So a good manager is a manager who has bag loads of money to spend? MM did a fantastic job on a budget, but that is what he is good at. The others would only be good managers if they had more money to spend? I think that is what you are saying. |  | | |

In fairness though we were able to financially compete in ME's early years, the spending under Magilton, Keane and Jewell was amongst some of the highest in the division. They just spent it badly. |  |

Keane and Jewell were backed but were both terrible.
If you are honest about Magilton there was barely a handful battling against the tide on here standing up for him at his end.
Most of this board wanted him gone.

Not sure that was necessarily a problem, giving Magilton a load of money to spend with no control over how it was spent was. The squad needed incremental improvement not a glut of central midfielders.
