We're already down and Leeds have to beat us to stop the scum getting automatic promotion, could be a strange atmosphere and we could have the last laugh.

I'm not sure we could intentionally score an own goal.

I've seen posts along these lines before. In this situation I will firmly be advocating the scoring of own goals.

I genuinely don't see any need for us to score own goals on top of the ones Leeds are going to help themselves to anyway.

Leeds will have dropped too many points by then. Don't think it will be an issue.

All very amusing but we are bottom by a long way for a reason. Even if we tried we couldn't beat Leeds or Sheffield United

I was on the Kop the day Blackburn won the league and it was exactly like that - for 88 minutes the whole stadium was supporting Blackburn. As soon as word came through that United had lost, giving Blackburn the title no matter what the score was, the stadium switched and supported Liverpool for the last 5 mins or so with injury time. And Jamie Redknapp scored a last minute free kick.

Liverpool won, United lost the league. Bizarrely brilliant atmosphere all day.

Thought no-one knew the Man U score until after Redknapp scored the free-kick?

I find it odd anybody thinks Leeds wouldn’t win even if we tried to stop them from doing so

I hope Norwich are going up automatically and are relying on Leeds not conceding at the time, Chambo just informs the Leeds team that he's gonna wait until the 93rd minute and wander towards our goal and get on all fours and head the ball over the line, thus handing Leeds the 2nd automatic spot behind Sheff Utd.

I'll be supporting Leeds that day, no question about it.

But assuming we're down with a few games to spare (which is looking likely), then another couple of defeats to the Blunts and Leeds won't hurt us, whereas it could massively hurt Norwich.

As much as the scenario appeals to me I can't see the manager or the players being anything but professional. Crap, yes - but professional.
