Is there really any chance of reaching "Town Targets" by 6th May? 12:14 - Apr 17 with 4099 viewsJack27

19 days from today!

If last season was 10,200 to get 12,000 that's an extra 1,800 people - NEW PEOPLE.
If last season was 10,200 to get 13,000 that's an extra 2,800 people - NEW PEOPLE.
If last season was 10,200 to get 14,000 that's an extra 3,800 people - NEW PEOPLE.

I'm not saying it won't happen - but don't be fooled by the discounts. 19 days isn't a lot of time to generate that volume. It's good PR...

I don't think we'll reach any of the milestones but I doubt many people buying a ticket are expecting us to.

Did the prices tip you in favour of renewing?

Very fair prices and a good initiative but sadly the people I was trying to convince aren't going to go for it.

It's not good PR as such... I see it more as a good marketing incentive for existing ST holders to persuade friends/family to buy too.

Obviously A LOT has been duffed up over the last ten odd years, but hey're damned if they do and damned if they don't sometimes.

There's really nothing negative about the ST pricing but obviously let's have a pedantic moan anyway :)

I guess the question is, how many season tickets did we have season before last? What was the drop to 10,200?

Attendances have generally improved all round this season, do we know what our average is? Generally things are positive despite the relegation. I *think* it could be doable. Certainly for 13K.

There will be very little drop from the 10200, so i would say 10K is a guarantee.

Not necessarily NEW PEOPLE.

Additional people, they could be previous season ticket holders who may return.

I agree, its a tough task, but a good gesture by the club.

If I lived locally, I would sign up.

So, what happens if you pay in full at the beginning as we do?

If it reaches the required number will we get a refund?

If you can't get people to buy tickets in 19 days, you won't be able to in a month. All the persuading which can be done already has been. The only other incentive would be signings - and the club isn't going to extend deals to the end of July.

In any case, the 12k would only be getting back most of those people who didn't renew in the summer of 2017.

Not sure yet, depends on what my brother is doing to an extent as we sit together so I'll see what he says. The prices are very fair and I like the milestones idea but I think the headline prices are too much to get another 1800 people at a minimum purchasing a new ST for League 1 football.

I'd like to think the 12,000 Target is at least attainable.

I agree that 14,000 seems a bit of a stretch, but the idea of getting over 20% off with the potential for that figure to drop further is a very good move from the club.

The advantage of a season ticket is you get to know the people you sit near (just hope they aren't morons). Agree in terms of pre/post match socialising - but during the match itself it isn't a problem

Change that last sentence to 'top end of Division One football' and it sounds better!
