I was just watching a feature on the 1994 World Cup and saw Finidi's famous urinating dog celebration which got me thinking about the best goal celebrations ever.
ITFC - it would have to be Kuqi's dive, although Hermann's crowd surfing is up there too. IIRC it was against Bradford and he ended up not being credited with the goal.
FUNNIEST - Klinsmann. Fair play to him. A diving German who was reported to have no sense of humour, who joined Spurs and celebrated goals by diving. Very good. Also used to like Lee Sharpe's three amigo's thing.
BEST - I always used to love Robbie Keane's celebration. The old cartwheel, forward roll and gun salute. But for me (probably due to the magic of Italia 90) you cannot beat Roger Milla. The greatest in my opinion. Proper celebration that paved the way going from handshakes and an arm in the air to a whole world of their own.
ITFC - Norris' handcuffs was pretty memorable, but not for the right reasons. Better than the celebration was his hastily thought up excuse that it was actually in reference to the X Factor, rather than his mate who was inside for manslaughter. Best has to be Shefki though IMO. David Johnson did the splits a few times, that was cool.
FUNNIEST - Robbie Fowler snorting the lines was a good response, but my winner goes to Gazza in the dentist chair.

BEST - Shearer. NFT.
Yep, Shearer. 300 odd goals and the same right arm in the air for every single one of em.

There's also no-one called Roga Miller
I am relieved that I got it right initially, then you got it wrong, then when I got it wrong I can claim I was just quoting you when in fact I then did exactly what you did!

I am, erm, engaging in refreshment of the 1664 kind so may not be 100% in charge of my faculties now... however, Milla and corner flag agree with you, regardless of game or world cup.
Who did we play at Portman Road when Marcus Stewart got barracked by the away support for almost the entire first half and then he scored just before half time and discreetly, but cheekily, held one digit of his right hand up and make a circle with the fingers of his left hand just to let them know what the score was?
Absolutely no question for me, best and funniest has to be Gazza and the dentist chair. The fact that it came after one of the best goals ever scored on a football field, against the auld enemy in what is the oldest international football rivalry, and at a major tournament, at Wembley all just makes it even better.

I forgot about David Johnson doing a little dance followed by the splits. I still remember reading The Evening Star confirming we had signed him. The fee we paid seemed like such a massive amount of money to me at the time.
The Batistuta celebration was ace. I loved Italian football in the 90''s. Actually, everything was better in the 90's!
