A question for the brexiteer dimwits 19:07 - Jul 2 with 3469 viewsfactual_blue

If, as the brexit party insist, the EU is hell-bent on creating a supra-national state, why haven't they got a bit further with this project since 1992?

Answer on one side of the paper, in green crayon.

That's not really a very good question when you look at the list of countries which have joined since 1992. 16 of the EU28 joined post 1992. It wouldn't be much of a super state without those countries.

I said 'supra-national', and of course that's not the same as 'super state'.

You clearly lack the benefits of a classical education.

Yep. Couldn't have been a superstate without Slovakia.

I'm sure the defiantly non-PC supporters of the Blue Passports and No Foreigners Party can handle a mild insult.

'Dimwit' is the sort of mild slur one would see in the Beano. I'm sure they wouldn't wouldn't want to be offended by the sort of words a venerable British institution would use.

Or words that a comic for children would use.

Suspect you will fail to engage anyone when you start off by calling those that voted to leave dimwits but then you didn’t really want a proper grown up discussion anyway did you.

I'll take a stab in the dark.

Because it's an organisation that is designed to serve the member states rather than itself. And there's no mandate for a supra-national state rather than a supra-national trade bloc and political lobby.

Do I win a prize?

I'd settle for a coherent sentence.
