My wife has just informed me that her eldest and his partner have invited us to the above following on from their upcoming scan. Am i just getting old as i,ve never heard of this"event" before or has this been another of the good old U S of A,s exports.
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.

Announce it? No way. It needs to be WAY more dramatic. One pink and one blue balloon, pop them both and see which one the silver glitter falls out of etc etc.
The more dramatic the better.
Sounds a bit barebones to me. Shouldn't there be one balloon for each of the 80 or so genders?

They are the dumbest thing ever. Nobody gives a toss what your foetus has between it's legs, now piss off.
Except that quite clearly friends and family do care about that sort of thing
Admittedly some of the more extreme reveal stunts do take it a bit far, but I don’t see any harm with having a gathering - there’s no obligation for people to attend after all
Each to their own

Just as long as more stuff is consumed and GDP benefits it's all good with me.

That figures. Must be a recent “thing” as I had honestly never heard of it before. Can’t say I’m overly enthusiastic about it tbh, but each to their own I guess.

It's been popular for at least a couple of years now, it is quite big business.
Personally I don't see why people are moaning about it, each to their own, life is too short!
Miserable old groats.
