Ten days until the UK leaves the European Union on 08:51 - Jan 23 by HARRY10
Not a red herring at all.
And nobody is predicting how the next 11 months will turn out. What is being done is not prediction, just pointing out how the lies will not be fulfilled
However do feel free to explain why there is no conflict between the requirements of the EU and the US.,
Explain why there is now to be a border between the GB and NI.
Or suggest where the UK is going to find experienced negotiators to sort out 70 odd trade deals over the next 11 months
As said. It is not about prediction.... other than to point out the claims (predictions) made by brexiteers are not going to hsppen. That is not prediction, that is reality.
Maybe the brexiters should read the resignation letter rendered by Ms Alaxadrea Hall Hall a British diplomat in the USA with duties relative to advising the American on brexit matters. Her resignation is because she is not prepared to deal with the lies etc. peddled by the Johnson 'government'.
When the brexiters crow about the 'Johnson' deal they overlook the fact this was rekjected by Mrs may and, wasn't the wording somethign along the lines of, 'No British PM would agree to a border in the irish sea' ? Now that border looks like being reinforced.
The brexiters speak of leaving the EU to trade on WTO terms without mentioning the rules of the WTO are made by the members if reinforced by the president & his aides who has said the members of the WTO will not agree to an open border between two different regimems e.g. Uk & RoI.
Then there is the matter of dividing the current quotas between the EU & Non EU countries which have to be agreed by others & WTO members where the UK is having to agree with the EU both in terms of qualtities and Euro values (sterling is, apparently not accepted by the WTO members) . There are a number of objectiosn from other WTO members realtive to the UYK's application to rejoin the WTO as an independent member & the address Ms Truss made to the WTO was not universally welcomed -
The international legal obligations of the UK outside the EU have not yet been started on & whilst Gove has reconviened his 'no deal brexit' meetings no one yet seems to have noticed the UK starts from a weak positions. The EU has commenced dealing with the UK, no longer a partner but as a competitor, firms have briefed their procurement managers there is no longer any obligation to seek quotes for supply from British companies.
Now the Americans are telling the UK it will react to American companies being taxed in the UK - anyone still not aware American companies pay their tax in Delaware & that whilst American personell working in the UK may pay NHI contributions they still (mostly), pay their tax to the American IR.
Brexit hasn't started yet we have just been through 3 years of political BS

I have an emotional attachment to my job, I also don't see the point in such a drastic move that has no upside. The emotional attachment seems to be from people wanting to risks jobs
