What a team that was, really really enjoyed watching them and proud I was able to get to the games then, despite living in Northamptonshire at the time.

Kinda crazy that we have been getting bigger crowds than this.
In league one!
For all Lambert's faults I am glad he took on the PR role to get the fans back.
Wish everything else was so good.

I never rated Wayne Brown. I'm still amazed he played 25 times the season we were promoted.

Pretty sure it was full as I was at this game. The ground held around 18k then I believe. No idea if they’ve done work since though.

352 with Scowie behind Johnson and Stewart.

What would £2.5m be in today’s football market for comparative players? We used to spend so well back then. Amazed to imagine a £2.5m signing now LOL.

Also when transfers were interesting in themselves and not the current deadline day circus of stupid cash being thrown around like the last zone on the Crystal Maze.

Nah, it's held 23ish since the mid 90s.

What a player he was for us. Scored the goals to take us to 5th in the Prem the season after. Was definitely the last major signing of any significance. That is why we deserves a pillar.

How did he find room for Brown in an XI with Mowbray and McGreal? Did he often use three centre halves?

That was away at Barnsley the season after in the Premier league pretty sure we often got attendances nearing 30,000 . Someone will look it up but i think season tickets sold out ?

5 at the back and Scowie sort of played in a 10 role.
