Another shameless operator.

He was the one person who needed to follow the rules. There is no concrete evidence that having had it makes one safe and non-contagious. She also suspected her husband had it so him agreeing to meet meant that she travelled whilst possibly contagious.

It's pretty hard to criticise anyone for doing whatever they want now as they can just point and say that the governments own modeller isn't following the rules. Some have started that already.

I think the conclusion that people should feel free to ignore the guidance because one of the leading scientists foolishly chose to do is totally irrational. However, I am not disputing that his position was untenable.

I agree it's a totally irrational conclusion.

That doesn't mean it isn't the conclusion that some people will reach, we have seen it on here already. I would wager in houses across the land some people are making the argument to go round their mates right now because the head modeller didn't even feel the need to follow his own advice.

It's has the potential to undermined the lockdown, especially if the awful papers run with it and make that point.

He told everyone that if you don't lockdown then 500,000 people would die. And then he went and ignored his own advice.

There are people abusing me for allowing visitors yet defending him.

It's possible that this story has now been published because his models are becoming more and more discredited. If he had been proved right, this story would have been buried.

It is more likely that it has been published now to distract from the very bad death figures.

All true mr. I just think it's a sad story more than anything.

I feel sorry for the husband and the kids in all this.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

The article I read said they had an agreed open marriage although not sure the kids would have known that and I doubt the husband wanted it all out in the open either as you say.

Imagine being sacked by Boris for shagging someone else's missus. Lol. The irony.

Oh right, I only read the bit of the story linked above that's not behind the pay wall.

The idea of an open marriage, especially with kids involved, seems very odd to me. But each to their own.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

No.

I haven't heard about him since that time when he famously blew his top.

He was saying the same thing on LBC last night. That they've sat on this story and released it to cover up the number of deaths.

It does seem a bit suspicious since it happened weeks ago, and it is only now making all the headlines when otherwise it would have been the overall death figures splashed all over the place.

True. But that's par for the course in politics. Always been the way.

Jenrick doing the press conference today. Interesting choice from the government. Surely first question asked should be what makes him and Ferguson different with regards obeying the rules.

Yep, that one had the decency to go even though he didn’t contract Covid.

Unlike another top official that ignored advise on handshaking, and social distancing was infected by the virus and endangered the life of his pregnant girlfriend.

Completely shameless, surely no one would want that sort of person in authority.
