We aren't being punished for a global pandemic. We are being punished because we have a crap manager and a team of players who didn't play well enough.

Is there a way to quickly see which teams mathematically could make the playoffs or be relegated? It'd be interesting to see that list - it's probably quite long and then you may as well play the rest of the season. |  |

I'm not really saying where the line should be drawn, just in principle it has merit.
Don't know where you get your <1% chance from but I suspect you've just made that up. We had a relatively easy run-in and our better players coming back. |
We were also in diabolical form with a 7 point gap to make up having played a game (or two) more than our rivals. Less than 1% looks about right to me. |  |

If you look at the teams in 8th place and above, they are averaging around 1.71+ PPG. If you apply that over the remaining games they would finish on around 75 points. That means we would need 23 points from 8 games to match that, that would never have happened. Even if teams slightly dropped off and we picked up, there are just too many teams above us and too big a gap for it to matter.
Wasn't there some analysis done on like 20,000 scenarios that put our chances of promotion at around 1%? You can cling to the mathematical possibility all you like, we had no chance of going up had the season continued. | | | |
