….are still employed.

I'd put him in a select group with the likes of Tony Adams, Gary Neville, John Barnes, etc....

Lambert out.

The difference there is no one would ever consider them for a job again but PRP keeps getting hired and here the fans idolised him because he apparently "just gets it"

Is the answer Alex Revell and about 37 places or is that too simplistic?

Of course, Lambert has badly underachieved. Of course we would all like to see him gone.

Until the decision is made on this season he won't.

Let's wait and see what happens when it is.

There are no Ipswich fans that idolise Lambert, a few respect some of the stuff he has tried to do off the field. You are just making stuff up now.
The only managers that are idolised by Ipswich fans are Ramsey, Robson and to a lesser extent Burley.

Royle did ok with limited resources, but as town fans should we really idolise him?

Joe Royle delivered some truly exciting games for us, who can ever forget that breathtaking comeback in February, 2003 - two nil down to the Narridge of the North just after half time and having already played half an hour down to ten men, to then win the game with a goal a couple of minutes before the end...it was Roy of the Rovers stuff. Maybe Joe Royle spoilt us and all the less appetising football (from the viewpoint of the less technical of us) that followed has made us too demanding.

I seem to be the only one that remembers how bad things got under BFJ. He inherited the best relative squad for the level and utterly wasted it. When he tried to rebuild he was the worst of the lot, his signings were worse than Jewell, keane or Hurst. Another year and he would have taken us down

The football under Royle was exciting i agree but we didn't achieve promotion under him so it is hard for me to put him in the same bracket as Burley or even Lyall.
