Sixty five goals in one hundred and fifty eight full appearances and twenty nine sub appearances is not a great scoring record? Bear in mind that a lot of the time he was playing for a side that were slowing dropping towards the relegation zone too.

I rate Jackson and I think if we used him right he'd be a real asset for us. However, Lambert doesn't seem to see him as a wide forward - which I think would be his best role in a 4-3-3 - and I'm not sure he's up to much in the centre in that system. On that basis a figure of £2m+ wouldn't be the worst business but I'd only really be up for it if we could bring someone else in, even if it's just a decent young player on a season long loan. |  |

I think our most recent transfer dealing with Bournemouth was one of Evans’ best negotiations since he’s been here! £8m for Mings plus Fraser for a season and Pitman on a free!
