Going to take weeks to sort out according to Hancock. Anyone know if any of our European neighbours are experiencing similar challenges?

My boy was sent home from school yesterday for coughing, once, and isn’t allowed back for ten days unless he’s been tested. There doesn’t appear to be any chance of a test.

There is capacity and empty testing sites but you can't get a test.

Shambles.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Phil in the tea shop would have done you a cuppa and lovely scone.

If there's not a Gav serving the tables I'm not interested.

I saw that but what with him being a medical person I didn't like to question it in case I was missing something.

'Just off nights' is the excuse here.

Given that most of them have bee testing at far, far higher rates than us since February and March, I'm guessing 'no'.

That's not what Matt Hancock said today and I can't for one moment believe that he'd lie to us as he's proven time and time again how trustworthy and honest he is!!!

In the TWTD sweepstake for 'how many weeks before halfcock has sorted out testing?, I'm going for 'two days after Sir Keir takes office. The tories couldn't sort out a trip to the local Co-Op.'

Just one week ago he told the select committee it would be sorted in two weeks.

He'll either redefine 'sorted', or resign for lying to a Committee of the House of Commons.

I know which my money is on.

You remember him saying that too eh? My guess he'll keep saying it every week and then finally when it's sorted in December he'll claim they met the target of fixing it in 2 weeks.

I would be asking serious questions of the school.

Head has just emailed to say he can come back tomorrow and they’ll take our lead on the asthma symptoms. He’s isolating himself since end of last week and can’t get a test either. It’s a bit of a joke really how key people aren’t prioritised.

Need to make a packed lunch now. Gonna throw any old sh1te together as little vapes seems to have lost his sense of taste and smell.

France has had similar issues, they had been doing the same booking system as us until a few weeks ago but had to stop as nobody could get a test.

A colleague of mine recently needed to get a test as she was showing some symptoms and the only way was to turn up at a testing centre and queue.

She was there at 9am Saturday morning and waited 3.5 hours in the queue and was worried she might not get one as the centre closed at 1pm.

I suspect if we did the same we would find out we had similar queues but it may also weed out lots of the people unnecessarily taking tests as they wouldn’t want the inconvenience of such a wait

Friend based in Chelmsford was offered Leicester as a 'drop in testing' option.
