So next time you are walking down the street remember that 1 in every 6 people you pass (on average) thinks that C19 was released on purpose to depopulate the planet (a stupid theory on so many levels) and that 1 in 4 believe the broader points of QAnon.
I know humans are still evolving but I was hopeful it wasn't to become stupider.
You've named 7 people, 2 of which are from the same scandal and one of which I believe wasn't child based?
How many people work in Hollywood, Politics and the Media? Nobody has said it doesn't go on. To cite "large-scale" would need a lot more evidence than that.

If you watch the documentary, it did. It also implicated way more people.
These issues were systemic and over a large period of time.
Numerous investigations show how people covered up this sort of thing.
These are just people from memory.
I'm not sure how far reaching something like this need to be for it to considered large-scale, but police covering up their actions, high profile members of government going to Epstein's, members of a foreign royal family.
Seems pretty large scale to me.

I wouldn't take that too literally, I am sure that most people like to wind up these survey providers.
In fact, according to a poll conducted by Yougeoff, 9 out of 13 people answer survey questions dishonestly.
I've been a responder in YouGov for years - I'd say over half the surveys have at least 2 questions which are so flawed that they make the results questionable.
I mean I'm no statistician, but being asked to reply to what is your current job (from a selection of about 10 types such as highly skilled professional, retail etc etc. - but without any 'retired' option) when you're in your 70s & fully retired, is nonsensical. You **have** to tick one of the boxes, otherwise you can't move on to complete the survey, so they're getting completely false data.
I often end up wondering whether the survey creators are actually competent.
I know nothing of this conspiracy group, but I thought it was weird that this was in there...
A similar proportion (26%) agreed that “elites in Hollywood, politics, the media and other powerful positions” are secretly engaging in large-scale child trafficking and abuse.
Epstein, Prince Andrew, Weinstein, Savile, MJ, Harris, R Kelly.... The list goes on of the accused who have abused minors in these positions of power. We know more people visited Epstein who are currently not formally charged or implicated too.
Point is, this is hardly a conspiracy. I'd by more surprised if 25% of people disagreed with that statement.
Like I say, I don't know Qnon, so I may be missing context for this accusation.
One of those you've named copped a feel of my then wife's left tit at a book signing at Waterstone's in St. Neots. She gave him the benefit of doubt as she was a fan and he was an excitable type by nature so it was probably accidental!
I got right into the conspiracy stuff off the back of Loose Change and went right down the rabbit hole for a while and got a bit obsessive about it for a good few months. I didn't ever believe it but there's a fair few people out there who think Paul McCartney died in a road crash in 1966 and since then he's been replaced by a lookalike https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_is_dead

That was some luck for Brian Epstein that not only was there a bloke who was a dead ringer for Paul McCartney but also had his musical talent.
It would be interesting to throw in some control styles questions in such surveys.
E.g. Invent a few conspiracies or weird things, just to see how many people would respond yes.
For instance, do you believe in the theory that Elon Musk and Silicon Valley Elites are building a satellite network that will help China track people using 5G.
There maybe a percentage of the population that will believe anything negative said about a group of people they don’t like.
So it isn’t really what people think that is being captured, but peoples prejudice against certain groups.
ELON MUSK IS DOING WHAT??????
Where's the petition to sign and post on Facebook? I must do something about this!

Ted Gunderson did some interesting (and shocking!) research and investigations into such subjects. Â Gunderson had a very high-ranking career in the FBI, see here:
In 1973 he became the head of the Memphis FBI office and then the head of the Dallas FBI office in 1975.[4] Ted Gunderson was appointed the head of the Los Angeles FBI in 1977.[5] In 1979 he was one of a handful interviewed for the job of FBI director, which ultimately went to William H. Webster.
According to his son, he worked the case of Marilyn Monroe and the John F. Kennedy cases.[1][2] He was the author of the best-selling book How to Locate Anyone Anywhere Without Leaving Home.[3]
*****
If it wasn't for his credentials, then given the claims he later started to come out with, then I would say perhaps he eventually went crazy! Â However, whenever I heard him speak he sounded level headed. Â He died in 2011.
Here is one of his talks:
I last listened to him talk at least 15 years ago so I can't recall everything precisely but I know there were some very disturbing claims made by Ted during some of his public talks.

He also thinks the FBI blew up the world trade centres and is a member of the Constitution party.
He might be right but that's quite a low starting point from which to try and gain credibility.

I never heard him claim that in the talks I heard but it does say that on the Wikipedia page. Â All I can say is give him a listen (listen to just 5 or 10 minutes, as I'm sure you haven't got time to listen to 2 hours) and see if you think he has any credibility or not. Â
It's been a long time since I heard him talk so I'm a little rusty on the precise details (as my memory isn't great)! Â I often watch documentaries and I get to around part 2 and realise it's one I've seen before! Â Information overload! Â Too much input and not enough output!

His credentials increase the probability he knows what he’s talking about compared to the man in the street. But only in probability terms, not that he does know what he’s talking about.
But the probability that he’s delusional or monetising his credentials is also higher than for the man in the street, given his insider knowledge hasn’t helped much stick.
