Banning Christmas would be humanly fecking sensible.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

or christians
or families.

capitalists on the other hand... he's waited until everyone's bought their big turkeys and presents then said "i know we've set you up for this 5-day blow-out, but we'd really rather you didn't actually see anyone"!

Yes, quite.

I mean we have come to expect a certain angle from the Tories over the years, and you know, a "F*** the poor", unsavoury though it might be, would at least appear to be in context.

But "F*** business" too? That's surely blasphemy on top of the usual expected unpleasantness.

It's not religious but it's a massive cultural event in this country.

I am not going anywhere Christmas Day but quite frankly if they "cancelled Christmas" it would come as a massive relief.

The media have been an absolute disgrace throughout this crisis. For them to keep saying things like "is Christmas cancelled Prime Minister?" like some sort of 5 year old is just ridiculous. Rigby, Kuenssberg and Peston have been especially bad. Almost encouraging people to see how far they can push things.

The whole things a farce. Sensible people will have either small gatherings with non vulnerable people or nothing at all and reckless people who put themselves first will do what they want any way.

Risking your elderly or vulnerable close ones for some dry turkey this close to vaccination is clearly madness. Everyone I've spoken to seems to say the same thing. BoJo is so stubborn he'd rather people died than he made a tough decision given a changing landscape.

I know that was then, but it could be again..
