AstraZeneca have said there's no shortage of the vaccine. It just needs batch testing so we have about 3m doses held up but hopefully the flow will begin and we will see the targets hit.
Call me naive but the fact they are doing a daily update really gives me hope. I'm sure the Tories have set the bar low with 2m doses a week and think they can smash it. I got the feeling Johnson knows the vaccine is all that is keeping many people compliant and people will want to see real progress day by day. |

So every batch needs to be tested, do we know how many doses are manufactured in a batch? How many can we store, where to store and under what conditions (one of the reasons the ports are gridlocked is because they are full of 1000's of containers of PPE which will be out of date before you know it). Is there a shelf life? Could there be contamination problems? Could there be a shortage of vials, or stoppers, or packaging?
When we get these brain dead journalists asking brain dead questions why aren't they asking these things rather than churn out the same old sh1te about......sh1te. [Post edited 6 Jan 2021 16:21]

Apparently they are rapidly increasing lab space to minimise the delay.
I am happy to see the head of army logistics will be part of the news conference later. I have much mroe faith in the army than the tories to roll this out. |  |

Why the army wasn't given the track and trace task is beyond me, it really is.
Army = get it done.
I employed an ex army bloke once, you only had to tell him things once, he cleared up after himself, never complained and just got on with things.
Unfortunately he then went a bit nuts. Can you imagine having to serve years as they do and then come back and adapt to normal life?

It would have absolutely made sense to have people in charge who deal with large scale logistics as a job.
The same as it's never made sense to most of us why we never employ people who know what they're doing overseeing government postions such as Transport, Education etc.
It must help if the people in charge have experience in the given field rather than just guessing their way through each and every other decision as it feels they tend to do. |  |

It was never going to happen but to be perfectly honest Joshy everything has gone to sh1t in the last 10 mins.
I ordered a couple of crates of those Virgin wine things for my office and some daft customer also bought me a case abut they were half red half white.
Anyhoo - I've battered all the red and have been on the white today but like an absolute moron I failed to back things up, inasmuch as I quite literally just went to get my last refrigerated white out, had a bit of a slip and smashed the fecker all over the floor. I've just cleaned it up but am now having to drink room temperature white.
On a positive note my socks are now giving me an alcoholic aroma
What's your daft brother up to now by the way, is he completely Trumpified yet? | |
