Holidays Abroad 19:29 - Jan 8 with 773 views | m14_blue | Just wondered when the hive mind thinks it will be possible/sensible to look at going abroad again? I know some people will say it’s not important in a pandemic but I’m not talking about trying to take advantage of a loophole, or squeeze through a gap in government regulations, I’m wondering when people think it may be back to something resembling normal? I’m craving some sunshine, presume May half term is too optimistic? August more realistic, or whole year in jeopardy?

Just don't believe the vaccinations will be done until then for those over 50. Maybe they start to ease restrictions earlier but where you are going needs to be safe too. Wednesday Chile banned all visitors who have been in the Uk in the past 2 weeks. Lots of places are tightening their borders atm.

The Capitol is now very well protected. Don't forget your Viking hat though.

Holidays Abroad on 19:42 - Jan 8 with 690 views | ElderGrizzly | FCO planning is May for short haul, September for long haul. There will still be significant entry requirements in most though, such as test before travel or vaccine required. But that’s all dependent on vaccines rolling out as hoped. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Why would there be such a gap between short and long haul opening up?
