Why even bother to make the statement as a club? on 21:13 - Jan 24 by GlasgowBlue | I’ll be honest, I think this is strange timing from the local media. There have been worse performances and results than Saturday’s against Posh. They didn’t speak up when we were utter gash against Swindon or Portsmouth. We could quite easily be sitting in the play off positions on Tuesday night. Surely the time to have gone for Lambert would be on Wednesday morning if we lose against Sunderland. I can’t help thinking this is a knee jerk reaction to criticism on Twitter. |
They’ve spoken at length on more than one occasion about it on the podcast and made it clear they wouldn’t do it unless they were absolutely sure the timing is right. The accusation they didn’t ‘speak out’ after other poor performances is nonsense as is the suggestion they responded to social media noise. It’s far far far more likely Phil’s right that they know it’s a good time to do it.

And if we limp to an insipid draw v Sunderland? Then when? How long do we limp on, slowly rotting away? Two more days? Two weeks? Tomorrow? August? Not sure there is a perfect time, but everyone, everyone, except ME at this moment, knows Lamberts time is up.

Why even bother to make the statement as a club? on 21:25 - Jan 24 by GlasgowBlue | Thank God we have Phil Ham who had the courage of his convictions. |
I'm afraid that the current situation is deeply disheartening. I haven't been to a game since last March as didn't get a ticket in the ballot for the ones that have run and honestly can't see myself buying a season ticket next year unless there are fundamental changes in the way the club has run. I dare say that I am not the only one who hasn't been to a game for so long and whom would find it hard to sign up for a new ST. Months ago we heard about the fact the club were going to look at compensating season ticket holders and an announcement was due soon, but it's gone completely quiet, which is yet another red cross against the club's name. With every time the club react like this and put out tone death statements they're driving more fans away and I love this club but slowly it is eroding, everything it used to stand for has been taken away and at the moment I feel like, the club couldn't care less about me as a fan. They're in their own deluded little bubble and I really don't think the current management and ownership have the necessary skills to turn it around. The club needs a serious shake up and is going nowhere and honestly I worry we haven't hit the bottom yet. The disconnect between the club and the fans is the biggest I can remember and honestly, I wrote those words when McCarthy was sacked and never thought it would sink so far that it has done now. The future of our club is at stake, Lambert must go and the club needs radical changes and a shake-up. But it may be too late, if we don't get up this season, then other much smaller, FAR BETTER RUN clubs are going to easily do better than us next season, as any advantage we have in terms of finance and fanbase will not count. Even with those advantages we punch well below our weight.

Isn't Dan Palfery PR and Pearce media manager? Someone said Pearce hadn't been seen for a while though.

Steve P is still working for the club, although more at arm's length this season, more a consultancy role than hands-on. But I assume he wrote the press release.

Why even bother to make the statement as a club? on 21:13 - Jan 24 by PhilTWTD | Agree, they needn't have commented. Overreacting again as they did at the start of December - Lee O'Neill interview and Marcus's statement - when PL asked for public support after the reaction to my ban and what he saw as negative media coverage. |
Do you Think Lambert asked for this statement too

So we've got a fitness coach and a media manager now working effectively as consultants rather than doing their role as they would have previously.

Why even bother to make the statement as a club? on 21:19 - Jan 24 by GlasgowBlue | In a two horse race, anything can happen. Sunderland are as inconsistent as we are. I just think it’s strange timing. If, and it’s a big if, we get three points on Tuesday then the wind is taken out if their sails. Whereas if we get hammered on Tuesday then they would have universal support. Except maybe from Frank in Holland. |
Am i right in that theyve only lost once since changing manager on 5th December,i can't work out their website

Fitness coach is effectively on gardening leave, despite what was released. I doubt he's had much if any contact with the management.

Lambert done it as a threat to the other journalists. It was clear he wasn’t happy at the time with what was being written and said by bbc Suffolk and EADT.

They don't know where it came from. I was asked for the poster's details from here, but obviously I can't give data out in that manner.
