Churchman 23:48 - Jan 26 with 1110 views | fergalsharkey | Putting sheepshanks and Evans down in the same bracket as owners of the club, saying that they are equally responsible for the state of this club. Disgusting statement from you m8, sheepshanks wasn't perfect but to compare them as similar is ludicrous.

Churchman on 23:54 - Jan 26 with 1074 views | Horsham | Sheepshanks didn’t own the club and took a salary. Evans does own the club and has lost a fortune. Sorry not popular to say but 100% fact.
Churchman on 23:57 - Jan 26 with 1055 views | Coastalblue | Both have been guilty of some terrible decisions that have cost the Club enormously, I guess in Evan's favour at least you could say that he's had to foot the bill. I loved Sheepy, and we had quite the adventure but he does have to answer to a fair bit at the end.

Difference is, Sheepy did what he felt was best for ITFC Evans is doing what's best for himself.

I believe there was an element of what was good for Sheepy involved tbh. He was a fan yes, but he did very well out of it all, unlike the Club.

Churchman on 00:11 - Jan 27 with 1007 views | wkj | To add context IPSWICH TOWN FC by Churchman 26 Jan 2021 22:59The death of Ipswich Town started with Sheepshanks nearly 20 years ago and ended with Evans.
The funeral will be held in a couple of years time. And yes, Sheepshanks set off a reverberating cascade for ITFC, one that ME has failed to control in spectacular fashion.

Churchman on 00:43 - Jan 27 with 964 views | Churchman | Harsh on my part I grant you. Apols. I am just so gutted that a club my grandfather was watching long before the war, my dad for over over 80 years and me since the late 60s is being destroyed utterly before my very eyes. Yes, I’m harsh on DS. Harsh only because I know he cared and it’s obvious ME doesn’t - and is not even trying to act in the interests of the club. I only met DS once and he was a nice guy. Enthusiastic too. The reality is though that on his watch the club went into administration. He was accountable. He then sold the club to Evans. I might be wrong, but I seem to remember that as chairman he automatically became the main shareholder, but somebody wiser than me might know. If the decision was not his, then I doubly apologise

Facts yes but it doesn't mean anything. Evans' entire reign has been a slow and near constant decline for the club. Sheepshanks wasn't perfect but he genuinely did care about the club for more than financial reasons. For Evans we were an investment he got badly wrong and is refusing to take the loss on so instead he holds on as we slip further and further down the pyramid while he waits for a miracle that isn't coming.

And why shoudn't he, he deserved it, no one would have cared had we not gone down in that second season, so many IF's about it too, Stewarts injury etc etc, Burley bringing in Sereni etc and changing the dressing room feeling etc I think Sheepshanks for all he did for the club rightfully made something out of and also he managed to get a Multimillionire to purchase the club, little ipswich Multimillionaire owner, what could go wrong.........................

Churchman on 08:08 - Jan 27 with 750 views | allezlesbleus | Sheepshanks is like a politician and used Ipswich as a stepping stone to bigger things. He did support the club and wanted us to do well, but he started the massive decline. Evans just propelled that into another dimension. The 5 year contract has to be one of the most ludicrous decisions ever made in the ITFC boardroom.
