A Great project 22:18 - Jan 31 with 1418 viewscressi

This club could be a fantastic project Good fan base with opportunity to increase with success one of the bigger budgets Good, academy decent area to live a owner who let's you get on with it
Even a upcoming manager like the Cowleys at 42 or, a manager who felt let down by the previous club like Pearson

I agree, being manager of this club is a lot more of an attractive job than quite few of our supporters think it is.

Once upon a time when fish and chips came in newspaper it was one of the best jobs in the country.

What has it got to offer now? A squad of journeymen at best, a sprinkling of talented younger players, a groaning treatment table, crumbling infrastructure, cost cutting and next years salary cap.

The only worthwhile element is the Academy but is that enough to make it attractive to anyone other than a has been looking for a pay day?

Don't agree with the comments a new man can have a complete clear out except for the people he deems worth ig in the summer maybe 5/6 players maybe if Wycombe can get promoted come on why can't we

Spot on. That applies to potential owners as well as managers, actually. Town has a *lot* going for it — but the club (and too many people in/around the town, I must say) talk it down in a way that rather self-fulfils.

I would agree with that. Sleeping giant is perhaps an understatement but there's a lot of positives, for sure.

One thing is for sure, ME has a massive decision to make, and not one he can afford to get wrong.

It could be a great project but not whilst Evans is the owner!

Relative to the level we are at we are very well-funded. For a League 1 side, Lambert can have zero complaints about the financial backing he's had.

Which of our players are journeymen?

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

And a new manager can be confident that he will be given a decent amount of time to turn things around
