Thoughts on this? 14:30 - Feb 4 with 2882 views | Bluefish | Ordered my daughter some walking boots from go outdoors because I'm fed up with her filthy trainers when dog walking. They arrived today and the box clearly has a sticker on saying reduced to £22.50. I ordered them online and paid £40 What would you do? Doesn't help that they also sent the wrong size, my wife however wants to keep these ones because they fit her. Should I pay 2 x £40, 2 x £22.50 or 1 x £40 and 1 x £22.50?

Thoughts on this? on 14:33 - Feb 4 with 2492 views | MattinLondon | Can you contact them and say that you’re not happy? Maybe they’ll refund you the difference? They can only say no - then buy a new pair for your daughter.
Thoughts on this? on 14:35 - Feb 4 with 2481 views | The_Flashing_Smile | I'd complain about the sticker and add that if that really is the correct price then you'd like to buy another pair. They may well go for that (then just add you want a different size for the second pair).

What the box says on arrival is largely irrelevant, that could've been done by accident or after you purchased, there's any number of reasons. By the same token, if it said £60 on the box they would have no right to ask you for an additional £20. It is a bit lazy though, and not a great look. It's probably worth asking them, they might refund it out of goodwill but legally there's no obligation to. They 100% should switch the size for you though, assuming you have received a different size to the one you ordered.

Very important update to the story.... I had to phone to say they are the wrong so mentioned the striker. My local shop had a 6 in stock (the others were sent from another shop for some reason) I've collected them and paid £40 for one pair and £22.50 for the other. A decent compromise

The point is the price on the box is of no significance. The retailer has no legal obligation to BF with regards to the price that was on the box that arrived. BF's order was a binding offer to the merchant at the advertised price at the point of purchase. Retailers can and do charge different amounts online vs. in store too, which could explain it. There's a whole host of reasons, but ultimately other than it not being a great look, they don't have to explain anything. BF can still return the product within 14 days though.

They were originally 60 To be fair I expect to do so but in 3 months it will be spring so not sure she will need walking boots to walk the dog

Thoughts on this? on 15:30 - Feb 4 with 2246 views | Basuco | If they were £40 on the day you ordered them then that is what you should expect to pay, think of it the other way round, if you paid £40 but the price had increased to £50, would you expect to pay the increased amount? No, big mistake from them to show you the discounted price.

Be positive. These boots are made for walkin', And that's just what they'll do.

Thoughts on this? on 16:31 - Feb 4 with 2103 views | bluelagos | I'd be happy with the £40 cos that's what I was happy with when I ordered them. As for the second pair, I'd maybe ring and ask about getting them for discounted price. Presume you have the discount card? Cos their prices on/off the card are hugely different.

I bought another 40 pair and got 17.50 back for the 1st pair but my discount card had expired so that cost me a fiver again. I'll shop from there again hopefully in the summer

You're clearly very easily satisfied. I, meanwhile, am worrying about the reaction of Miss Blubfish when she realises that she's got to go outside, in public, wearing cheap walking boots rather than fashionable trainers. I may have trouble sleeping...
