If Lambert isn't sacked 15:27 - Feb 17 with 648 viewsnodge_blue

Then we need to know what he means by the structure isn't right in the club and what things need to change.

Didnt he say the same thing when he first joined?

So why hasn't he done something about it? What is this problem exactly?

And it has to be fully out in the open. I don't see now that he has played this card and still he's here that it can just be ignored.

But he cant blame all these bad performances on structure.

And then he has gone down the same old route of loan players. They must now be expecting to play and already know they are in a right sh1t show. Probably wishing they hadn't come.

And the permie players like Nolan and Jackson (for all their perceived flaws) are decent league one players and they are rejected to the U23s. Thats on Lambert.

The loan players are largely not much better than what we have.

And where is Evans in all this. Lets see some f***ing leadership.

He was Cleary itching to say more last night, but stopped himself everytime he felt he was about to say more.

He has no opinion on the club's structures whatsoever, doesn't care in the slightest. He wanted to say just enough to absolve himself of blame and maybe get the trigger pulled on his payment, without saying so much that it might get him in legal trouble.

At least he gave a sense of his own anger at where we are rather than the absolute rubbish we've had out of him in the last 2 months.

But he isn't taking enough of this on his own back.

He is still 80% of the failure right now.

Simon Jordan had it spot on. Deflection from his own failures. His record apart from Norwich is poor. He has nothing in the bank to suggest why he should still be here.

Isn't it obvious?

We have no board, just a dictator.

We have no CEO/chief executive, just a yes man.

We have an incredibly weak scouting network

We have no one in a position of power on the football side. LON is not in a position of power OR the calibre needed

We have no one making decisions except the dictator who isn't about that much anyway.

Lambert really does have a point. That doesn't mean he hasn't had enough backing and resources to easily get us out of this league. His performance has been a shambles.

Truly impaired.

I was curious as to what structurally he would want to change that he hasn't had the chance to in 2 and a half years so I'm pleased Jordan picked up on this.

He's been backed with signings - even in January when results were poor and finances are tighter than ever he was still backed with excessive signings if anything. He's been given more time than any other owner would have given a manager in this position. I really don't understand what Lambert could be referring to and that must be why he kept it vague 'everything' not just the owner. 'Everything' needs to change.

Just an easy sweeping comment to make about a failing football club. He shouldn't worry about tickets sales, bobble hat sales, floodlight maintenance contracts - the only bit of the club he needs to focus on is the performances on the pitch and he's been backed heavily by the owner in this area.

If anyone can write me a list of possible 'behind the scenes' changes that are needed (other than a change of owner) then I'd love to see it:

Wonder if any of that came into his mind as he signed that 5 year deal? Na, didn’t think so

For arguments sake....most clubs have a "dictator" these days who calls the shots. Virtually all the ones with rich owners expect to make the calls.

Is O'neil the Chief exec? Again all of them probably toe the owners line in public. They wouldn't be in a job very long if not.

Is our scouting network weak? I have no idea. Is it weaker than other league one clubs like Lincoln?

If this tuff is really an issue then lets have it spelt out by Lambert. Not just vague waffle.

Ironically, if we had the thing Lambert says is lacking he wouldn't still be here. He should BCWHWF.

Well precisely. There is some truth to it though.

Of course, he's been backed strongly and has made a right mess of things.

Truly impaired.

Exactly. This is the last rerun of the PR Paul persona - desperately trying to get fans onside by slagging off an unpopular chairman/owner. Sadly for him, he's got absolutely nothing in the bank to be able to run with this now.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
