Actually, when you look at Pearson's record wherever he's been, it's better than I had realised. Still think he was hard done by at Watford and they're lightyears ahead of us as a club and first XI.

He seems to improve sides and that is what has been sorely missing here for the past 3 seasons.

If he has a record of reducing the wages and effectively trimming squads and bringing through younger players, they are all things that are needed here too.

Evans has a history of giving managers time. If Pearson sees this as a project run on that basis, he is definitely the right man for the job for me.
