You were moaning about not being able to buy a house the other day - which is actually something that I genuinely worry about for young people.

Anyhoo, Rishi might be your guy after all.

Not sure what he'd be worried about - As we all know from on here, Burnley is the answer.

Whilst there is merit in your position, having a massive crash isn't ideal either as you essentially strand normal people who have saved for their houses in negative equity which means they will never sell and the housing market totally dries up.

In that scenario nobody outside the very rich can buy a house as their is no liquidity.

It's certainly the answer to 'Who did we just pip to become champions of England?'.

It’s long overdue.

Also, what Bankster said!

It’s frustrating as the place I’m at now we’re renting, but flexing into my mid-30s I’ve got really into gardening and DIY work around the house, and we’ve got a never ending supply of pallets nearby to do it on the cheap. I’ve said many times now if I could buy this place I would, landlord is a stingy c**t and it’s a battle of “I want a nice house” vs “HOW MUCY FREE LABOUR HAVE YOU GOT FROM US WHILST WE STILL PAY YOU RENT?”

Mind boggling that anyone can think the answer to unaffordable housing is to put forward yet more inflationary policies isn't it.

He isn't young

He was also 15 and doing his GCSEs at the age you suggested he should have been wise enough to buy a house.

You can always educate yourself about what “young” is in the homeowner market, but you’ve got me div listed and you’ll only have a meltdown about being wrong anyway.
