Friday lunch on 17:18 - Mar 26 by The_Romford_Blue | We were between Portugal and Scotland. At the moment it’s Scotland that is leading that battle. As fun as it would be in Portugal, that’s a bloody big move to make. Scotland is at least only a train away. Out of interest.. what is a haagas? It’s a part of a pig isn’t it? I could just google it so no idea why I’m not.. |

Friday lunch on 17:35 - Mar 26 by jeera | I have only just considered today to explore the possibility of dual citizenship because of my late Maltese grandmother. My mum is knocking on but after a quick scan I believe she is eligible, which may provide a link for me. If you, or anyone else, knows of these things do let me know how it works. |
If you fancy being an American the missus and I could adopt you?

Alternatively, between Portugal and Scotland could land you in Cornwall, not a bad shout. Portugal is a cool country, I really love Lisbon, and Porto to a lesser extent although still a very cool city. Not sure I could live there though. Haggis is delicious BTW. There's a brand called Macsween and I can highly recommend them. The vegetarian one too, delicious.

Malta is boring as fook, mate. So boring that the only time I went I got so drunk that I pissed myself. The food was nice though. Rabbit the local speciality - very nice.

I don't want to live in Malta. Ffs don't you start too. You're supposed be the smart one. It would give EU freedom no? I.e. opportunity to live in Europe etc. Edit: the seafood is good there though. And the pizza. [Post edited 26 Mar 2021 17:52]

I take it is your first one? What one did you get? I had Pfizer, Missus had Moderna and luckily both had no kind of response beyond a sore arm. We know a few folk who got a knocked sideways a bit though.

People seem to be saying the jabs are worse if you have had covid. Not sure whether that's just a rumour though. Mother was knocked for six and took a day off with flu-type symptoms after.

I saw it posted on here but thought nothing of it really. I will of course have the second follow up jab but have to say I hope this isn't going to be an annual requirement. Maybe the first one is the worst right? Right? [Post edited 26 Mar 2021 17:58]

Sorry. Hopefully you'll hear something soon. The roll out seems to differ considerably from one area to another, but of course London is such a massive task you'd think.

You will be fine tomorrow. Just the old immune system firing up! As for Malta, I love it. Been there loads of times. Against it: no trees, it’s falling down in parts, over developed in others, the driving is rubbish, the food is not the best. For it: wonderful people, fascinating history, climate, Valletta, Valletta harbour, Mdina. It’s a brilliant place. Always something to see and do or just chill out. I’d happily spend a good chunk of the year there.

I have been, but many years ago. The family ran an olive farm prior to the war apparently. But that was abandoned, bombed out of their home etc.
