So, Summer Signings then 01:43 - Apr 8 with 3217 viewschrismakin

I'm going to start with Will Griggs, Lee Evans, Gavan Massey, Keanan Bennetts,

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

Morgan Rogers, although he was playing off the Left and isn't the right age bracket to be chrismakin's mystery man.

I think it must have been that crewe player... reminded me of darren Currie.. no real pace but managed to get past his man and get crosses in. I may be wrong on the kenlock front.. but could have sworn it was him.

Out of contract

And?

I still am not sure why he would want to leave Sunderland to come to us. They are also in a very good position with new owners and I am sure there would be interest from the higher levels.

It's going to be like this for the next 4 months isn't it.

Grigg had some personal problems at Sunderland.

He's scored 12 goals in 3 years.

People complain about Jackson then they want someone who clearly is past his best? Not sure that personal problems is an excuse or that we should be looking to buy someone with those possible issues.

True, might be a better way

One thing that's bugging me, there was a wide player, can not for the life of me remember the opponent, but he was late 20's, didn't look 'fast' but took on Kenlock with ease and it was within the past 5 weeks, whipped in some very good crosses and was very important to the team he represented. Can you remember watching an opponent like this, as I just can't remember who it was

Danny Mayor of Plymouth? Think we were linked with him couple of years ago.

I think the only time Kenlock really struggled during his last period in the team was against Fleetwood and that was more about losing his composure than getting run ragged.

Charlie Kirk did look excellent in both their games against us and 5 goals, 7 assists is a pretty decent return in his first season in League 1. Very technically assured and the ball stuck to him, which it never does with any of our forwards!

Under contract until 2022 though and nice, technically gifted winger with end product is probably too rich for our blood!

Christ, I hope we can be a bit more a bit more ambitious than that.

St: Paul Mullin
Lb: Dominic Thompson
Cm: Lee Evans
Lw: Charlie Kirk
Rw: Callum Lang
(And a few other positions such as rb)

Leam Richardson to join in the summer.

Will Grigg realistically could only be done on a loan deal (contract up at Sunderland in 2022) and his wages there are ridiculously high for L1 - he was outstanding at Wigan, but his career has dropped since leaving.

Lee Evans & Gavin Massey - free
Michael Jacobs - small fee.

Some really good shouts.

Paul Mullin - Yes
Dominic Thompson - dependent what happens with Rico Henry at Brentford you'd imagine, but a good option if available.
Lee Evans - Yes
Charlie Kirk - Yes - with 1 year to run on his deal I think you'd get a good price
Callum Lang - Yes - again 1 year to run on deal, you'd get a good price.

Kyle Knoyle (RB) at Cambridge is someone we must look at!
Tendayi Darikwa is an alternative RB currently at Wigan.

Lee Evans
Gavin Massey
Christian Walton
Chey Dunkley
Josh Windass
Last 2 are dependent on Wednesday going down.
I wouldn't have said Walton until the takeover but I think we're more attractive now paying decent wages and offering to be part of a project.

This list below, 100%.

I wonder if we could entice Nick Powell here, who was instrumental for Cook at Wigan. That might be a stretch too far though.

Bennetts is apparently on 18k a week at BM. Not sure we can stretch to that...we’d need more step-overs and over-hit crosses to justify that.

How about shots from 30 yards? That almost go out for throw ins?

I don't imagine the top-scoring midfielder in the Championship is looking to drop down a league. Not unless Cook's got incriminating evidence on him.

In this league, i'd like to see him after a full pre season and full on coaching. There is something there. We certainly miss him when he's not involved.

I agree... but he’s on 17K a week with that German team I refuse to even try and spell so that’s out the window!

Vadaine Oliver

A few people saying this but just because he played well against us that doesn't mean he is any good. He was mentioned on a podcast after that game and they said he was a pretty average lower league player.

He's 29 and scored 61 goals in 306 games, 14 of those goals in this season alone (he's having a good season).

I don't understand why people like him are mentioned, he's certainly no better than Norwood or Jackson.

We're going to be on data driven recruitment in the summer and he's very high in the divisional stats.

I wouldn't rule it out.

That would nearly make him our top scorer.
