I've just had Davidstow 18 month Extra Mature Cheddar with real butter and a sliced red chilli and chilli flakes sprinkled over, on San Francisco style sourdough, melted under the grill. And a touch of Hellman's mayonnaise on the side to take the edge off.
My mouth is dancing like a firewalker. But it was amazing.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

You're melting and eating something made by dicking about with stuff that comes from a cow's tits and is meant to feed the cow's babies. Ponder on that and tell me who is the weird one.
Have you got that weird 'I can't see things in brackets' eye disease?

No. Have you got that lacking basic comprehension disease?
No, but it's clear you have.
I'll spell it out for you as you're clearly a bit dim due to not enough protein... I agree with you on the calf milk bit... but melted cheese is one of life's pleasures.

i've taken to toasting dolcelatte - it's extremely good.
And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

What about, for a lack of a better word, the fake vegan cheese?
Have you tried it? It's not pleasant stuff. I'll eat cashew cheese occasionally but it's not really for melting, it's more like a firm pate kind of vibe.

No I haven't, but there are vegan pizzas now in a fair amount of places, so I assumed it was getting better. I'll give it a try when vegans are saying it is good.

Brown bread, lightly toasted, then buttered, mature cheddar and a little bit of parmesan, topped with a fine spreading of sweet chilli sauce toasted until it caramalises a bit, ketchup to dip.
Cut into halves not triangles!

My experience is it's still not good, aside from the previously mentioned cashew cheese. Although I was never a massive cheese fan so I'm not all that bothered in any case.
