Surely an element of player welfare here. Denmark and Spain are dead on their feet after the season rolling straight into Euros. Why risk players health for a dead rubber. Wow - FIFA doing something sensible & getting rid of the pointless 3rd place game. The Euros did have a 3rd place game between 1960 & 1980. It was originally understandable as there were only 4 teams in the finals until 1980.
