Not that enlightening so far but it will build as the week goes on: https://pasoti.co.uk/threads/plymouth-argyle-v-ipswich-town-the-build-up.116257/

Houghton missing - don’t know a lot about him, their Morsy? - sounds like he’s had a decent season so far.

A bit further down they're also discussing Ryan Lowe being touted as MM's replacement. It's worth reading for the genius who thinks Argyle are bigger than Cardiff :-D

Fingers crossed for an unsettled boss missing a key player :-)

I’m fairly confident we’ll get a result. It’s normally around this time that the early season runners start to fade a little. If we turn up and put in at least one very strong half, we’ll have too much for them.

Anyone know any good pubs down there? Heading down by train so will be on foot from their to the ground.

Poll: Who would be your managerial preference between these two?

There is more than one idiot on that forum that thinks Plymouth are a bigger club than Cardiff. They are not and never were.

Plymouth’s manager has clearly done a good job there and whether it’s Cardiff or somebody else, I’ll be surprised if he’s not somewhere else this time next year.

Weaknesses: avoiding offside.

Truer words never spoken. I thought Bonne was on an offside bonus against Cambridge.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I think loads of the SouthWest group are meeting at Mannamead, apparently quite close to the station

There are lots of good pubs in Plymouth but not many decent ones in the vicinity of the ground. If you get a chance head down to The Barbican (historic fishing port) before or after the game for good ale and food. A bit of a hike from Home Park though.

....biggest gripes with him.

It's certainly become more common over the last few matches.

As well as sometimes being marginally offside, which is understandable, he is often absolutely yards and yards offside, which is less understandable.

Still as long as he keeps scoring....

I remember when we played them at home in the Championship in this match http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/3656484.stm

They brought thousands up from what i remember, including their mascot. Green and white support was excellent that day

It's frustrating but I like that he wants to get in behind so often. It's definitely an art though, Norwood has a handy knack of doing it despite not being someone you associate with pace. I wish we'd drop the ball in behind for Bonne a bit more to be honest.

That's reminded me that Wilnis got in to the strange habit of getting sent off against them. Two maybe three times iirc.

Also didn't they have somebody sent off after about 40 seconds at PR one year?

3 out of 4 of Fabian's red cards at Town were vs Plymouth.

Mathias Doumbe was sent off in the second minute at PR in 2007.

Yep, he has cost goals for being offside and if Celina's shot had been near him on Saturday he would have cost us 2 points and a win. He also fouls opposition players all the time but gets away with it becasuse it's league 1. Still he keeps scoring so cant complain
