Norwood persona non grata 20:42 - Nov 8 with 7703 viewsGlasgowBlue

Cook asked if he should be giving more minutes to Norwood and Pigott or are they on the way out.

Cook spoke at length about Pigott and completely blanked Norwood.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Is that for you to decide, though? It's not.

It's for Cook, Ashton and O'Leary...and whoever else i.e those involved in the club.

'Creating a culture' could mean anything, it doesn't just mean getting rid of anyone with a questionable personality. It could well do, but you have no idea.

I didn't say it was for me to decide and didn't say I had any idea on where the club stands.
It's about personal opinion and mine is he shouldn't have been purchased and he shouldn't play again for the club imo. But i'm not the owner nor the manager.

Am i going to cry that he's not kicking a football? absolutely not.

Is it worrying you think his past issues are just bantz and just a slight questionable personality, yes. BUT that's IMO.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

Norwood is a good striker for this level and offers something Bonne and Pigott don't have. If his banter and off-field antics trigger some of the fragile parts of the fanbase then that is their problem and not his. Everyone loved Norwood when he signed and were lapping up the attention he was getting and everything that went with it. Now because he had one sub-standard season the hypocrites have written him off. He should be on the bench for most games and be that impact player that we need upfront. Cook has got this wrong imo #PlayNorwood

"Now because he had one sub-standard season the hypocrites have written him off."

I would say that is a fairly sensible reason to look/play people who aren't having sub-stadard seasons.

Hypocrite is not an insult. You can be a hypocrite and still be right. Specifically about Norwood, it would be hypocritical to criticise him for eg for wearing back face if one wore black face but it would still be right to criticise him.

You really shouldn't be wearing blackface.

So the fact he has been caught twice for drink driving shouldn't come in to any decisions the club make? If that is the case then I will happily be part of the "fragile parts of the fanbase".

It was quite satisfying to listen to Cook answer the question about Pigott and No Wood not getting minutes, then proceeding to talk at length about Pigott but ignore No Wood completely.

How is your new Passat, btw?

Maybe the only thing he offers that Bonne doesn't have is a bit more strength, other than that Bonne is at least a league possibly two ahead of Norwood in terms of quality. It's not the sub standard season it was everything, always injured, his off pitch antics, his attitude on the pitch at times. He is probably our fourth striker at present. He is upper league 2 lower league 1 standard.
