Old North Stand on 10:36 - Nov 9 with 1443 views | geg1992 | If only there was something they could do to improve the acoustics. I really do think we have some of the most vocal fans in the league, especially since Blue Action, but the stand really doesn't help and of course the away fans being the other side.

North should have been one tier. Wall of noise.

Old North Stand on 11:42 - Nov 9 with 1323 views | Churchman | I’ve not been in the new North Stand yet, but I was in the old one for its final season. I loved it. I wish they’d replaced it with a single tier stand with better acoustics, even if it had impinged on capacity.

Old North Stand on 12:18 - Nov 9 with 1234 views | gainsboroughblue | I only really had one full season in the North Stand in the picture. It strangely seems like so much more. Great days. Even when it was seated, it was good really. Just not the away fans being sandwiched by our lot in the North and J block. The Easter Monday Norwich game in 1993 was a hell of a noise. We missed a trick in 2001 when we made it two tier. [Post edited 9 Nov 2021 12:18]

The problem was there was only so much room at the back of the stand so they couldn't build out very far. Agree, a one tier stand like the kop would have done a great job. The old North Stand was fantastic.

Indeed, given that the North Stand could not be extended into the road behind, it had to be 2 tier or left as it was. A poor call by Sheepy, should have just done Churchmans, but he clearly thought Town were in the Premier League to stay.

Yup the houses behind the stand presented during the planning process and stopped any chance of a KOP style stand.

Old North Stand on 14:56 - Nov 9 with 946 views | ElephantintheRoom | That's a relatively new North Stand. The North Stand where club skipperAndy Nelson worked a a labourer to supplement his league-winning wages - now that was an old North Stand.
