Why is sweet potato fries considered an upgrade to normal fries? 19:22 - Nov 19 with 2355 views | MattinLondon | Just been to a rather nice pub for tea and ordered steak and chips..like many places (is so it seems) I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to sweet potato fries. Absolutely not - in a polite way of course. Who upgrades to that? It’s not even an upgrade. Like saying if I want to upgrade from mayonnaise to salad cream (which is awful stuff). Just wondered if there are anymore examples of ridiculous upgrades out there?

Why is sweet potato fries considered an upgrade to normal fries? on 09:03 - Nov 20 with 451 views | DecageBruce | Totally agree on Sweet Potato fries and have had this conversation on more than one occasion. Also, and not that it happens very often, but what is the obsession with Brioche bread accompanying Burgers and Hotdogs? I don’t want sweet bread with my burger
Why is sweet potato fries considered an upgrade to normal fries? on 09:48 - Nov 20 with 430 views | clive_baker | Couldn’t agree more. I often find sweet potato fries to be a bit limp, something I don’t like about the texture really, not to mention the fact they’re a downgrade on the taste front. I don’t have anything against salad cream particularly, although I never have it. I can see it’s place, perhaps with cheese or tuna. It’s surprisingly good with pasta, although I can’t remember the last time I had it. Mayo is a god tier condiment though, has to be full fat original though, white and fluffy. None of the low fat stuff that looks like jizz

You get the same quantity I swear. They never fill the large cartons. Some pizza places as well that do base upgrades. Pizza express I think is one where a vip pizza is basically a standard base rolled out thinner and cooked like a flipping biscuit.

No accounting for taste. They go very well with ham and pineapple pizza. Especially with Battenberg for desert.
