What would a different manager do? 14:37 - Nov 29 with 544 viewsjayessess

What do we reckon a hypothetical different manager would actually do with these players?
New formation? 3-5-2? 4-3-3/3-4-3/4-4-2? Anyone coming in from the cold? Any Cook faves immediately out of the side?

Knowing our luck as ITFC fans, we'll sack Cook, replace him with Paul O'Grady who incidentally loves 4-2-3-1.

Honestly, I suspect any incoming manager would be pretty damn happy with what he has at his disposal....and rightly so.

probably fall out with celina, think he could be the one to solve norwood and then sign 19 more players in january.

there'd then be a gelling period, we'd slip down the table and repeat

or we could do better

or worse

Every manager is different of course. The only other manager that interests me right now is Liam Manning.

The way he has MK Dons playing is pretty special. The way they play, the ability they have to pass through and open teams up so quickly is very good to watch - every player looks as though they constantly want the ball, and are confident in their ability on the ball.

He would turn to a 3-5-2 which I think suits this squad.

Walton
Donacien - Edmundson - Burgess
Burns - Morsy - Fraser - Penney
Celina
Pigott - Chaplin

Would probably mean Edwards would have very limited game time, with him being a natural winger.

I would think that working hard for a couple of weeks on our shape off the ball would start to show some improvement. And then work on the patterns of play further forward, so we're quicker on the ball.

4-2-3-1 isn't intrinsically a problem formation for us, just that the way we are playing it is ineffective too often.
