Ah ok, from my experience I don't really agree, I feel all cricket scores are universally derided*, but if there was a particular poster you wanted to dikk around with, then fair enough.

As with England Men against San Marino, there should really be some sort of pre-qualifiers before going in with the strongest teams. Gives the weakest teams a reasonable competition where they stand a chance of winning games and gets rid of the meaningless thrashings.
They did that for the recent cricket T20 World Cup and those who qualified via the first stage were mostly competitive in the main draw (Afghanistan came pretty close to qualifying for the knockout stages). |  |

However, that was the first year that Rugby Union was a professional game. Different world, fewer people able to make a living playing the game.
