Still a very quick betting move, especially considering it seems very unlikely with how he is doing at Blackburn in the Championship.

I suspect it may have come from this article though - https://www.suffolknews.co.uk/ipswich/sport/exclusive-ex-ipswich-defender-high-o

Ah but if you know what you're doing you can beat the bookies

Would be the best of the lot by a distance (not saying much with that sorry bunch) but it isn’t going to happen. People must have money to burn betting on that outcome.

Do people still not understand how this works and how little money is placed for odds to tumble.

Someone's see that random report and stuck £20 on him and odds have tumbled.

It takes more than £20 for odds to go from 50/1 to 8/1.

I suspect it a combination of the article and people jumping on what would seem a good price.

His contact is up in the summer and would probably have to sell a couple of his best players even if they went up.
I don’t think it would be football reasons that would stop him coming back.

With him being out of contract at Blackburn in the summer could our owners and Ashton be thinking to give JM till the end of the season as interim and have a deal with Mowbray to come in at the end of the season?

More like a little gamesmanship to get the Blackburn contract sorted in Mr Mowbray's favour.

Just maybe Blackburn don’t see him as long term - if they get promotion they may want a “big name” if they don’t he has failed in their eyes .. just maybe..
