I believe you can here https://covid-status.service.nhsx.nhs.uk/

I expect you'll need your NHS number. I've not done it yet so haven't clicked through further.

When I registered for the app it was a pain to set up in as far as they asked loads of repeat questions, but once done its done!

Yeah I remember it being a bit of a ball ache, and I needed it verified which took about 12 hours. But I had to do it as I was going abroad and needed it everywhere we went.

I'm planning on going Saturday, and have the app so no issues there. My old man is going (separately from me) so just trying to work out the best way of getting him sorted. He can barely use his Nokia 3310.

I am trying that but it has been 'loading' for about 5 minutes so far.

Thank you.

Yes that's where you need to go if you haven't got a smartphone.
You can print out a pass with a QR code but it looks like the printed ones only last 48 hours.
I had one of these for the first game in August but didn't bother after that as they seemed happy enough just to see the vaccine card.

Yep, well worth getting the NHS App set up. Once done it has full vaccine status and date and it's easy to download an updated covid pass every couple of weeks (30 seconds, if that).

This is what worries me. We have stood behind people in the queue before fiddling about with their phones trying to find what they need.

It has always been easier just showing the card to get in.

With so many fans there on Saturday it could be a nightmare.

I'm glad you posted this as I was totally unaware (although have since read the club bulletin).

This from the club is wrong: "Throughout the season, the Club has enforced Covid-19 entry requirements, with supporters needing to show proof of full vaccination via a digital COVID Pass or a negative lateral flow test, this has now been made mandatory by the Government."

They've been accepting the simple double-vax cards, neither of the above.

I personally am not registered on the NHS app, and as my phone number will not match my GP surgery (lucky enough to be a stranger to them), i'll be surprised if I get an ID in time, as it looks like they'll have to do a manual verification by matching a scan of my driving licence.

This has potential for disaster on Saturday (or a blessing in disguise, depends how the game goes!).

Churchmans was carnage for the opening game as the stewards let two or three queues form for at least two doors. They also let a load of drunk kids March to the front unchecked which caused issues.

You’d hope people are in the habit etc but I’m glad I’m not down til later this season. It’s the same as people who don’t get their wallet out until the shopping is all packed away it seems but x 1000

Unless my letter turns up in the next 3 days I will not be able to go.

Just had several attempts to get a copy I can download, got most of the way through and they wanted more proof that I am who I say I am.

I took a photo of my driving licence with my digital camera and downloaded that to the site-fine.

THEN they had to scan a photo of me from my device-what 'king device?

edit-what would have been useful would have been ITFC giving a few more days notice of the fact that proof of vaccination by card was no longer going to be valid, assuming they knew before this afternoon

I have the NHS app. However I cannot download to the wallet app on my Samsung. My Charlton train tickets automatically downloaded last week, however on the NHS app it says download to Gpay not wallet. Then it comes up with an error saying not able to load this pass?

Go for the option to email a copy to yourself, then print it off, it is valid for a month.

I take it a snapshot of the QR code saved on your camera roll will work just as well?

About time, I went to watch Blossoms in Kentish Town in September and they asked for the NHS app on a phone then, they did take the card but only as a last resort as they are available to buy on line. No one complained when I was queuing and it added to feeling that little bit safer when in the venue. Blossoms were brilliant BTW.

Assuming you have access to a computer and a phone that can handle texts, get a test done and register it. You then just need to show them the text.

Brought it up on NHS APP then I just screen shot it, it lasts a month

I have a feeling they will get fed up of people saying that they have no smart phone and accept cards.

We have read this on here and had an email but what about the thousands of people who have bought the extra tickets, will they know what is required and what they have to do?

Same here, the app is total garbage and has only ever given me a 3 day pass which is why I sent off for the letter.

Off the NHS website

How long a digital NHS COVID Pass is valid for
If you've had:

a vaccine used in the UK — your NHS COVID Pass lasts for 30 days, but the 30 day period refreshes every time you log in
a negative PCR test or rapid lateral flow test — your NHS COVID Pass is valid for 48 hours after a negative result
a positive PCR test — your NHS COVID Pass lasts 30 days, but the 30 day period refreshes every time you log in (for up to 180 days after you took the test)
If you download your digital NHS COVID Pass as a PDF, always check the expiry date before using it.

If you're fully vaccinated or had a positive test result, the barcode on a PDF is valid for 30 days.
