I don't get these threads.

Phil literally has an ITFC news site. You are posting on it. If he had any info he's not going to break it to you on the forum is he?

You’re in a proper grump today aren’t you?

Snapping at BCFC fans and now this.

What’s up buddy? Did Mr Clippity Clop come last in the gee gees?

Not really.

Think you might be putting your own spin on my reply here. It's more mild amusement that people keep asking him when he would just put a story up.

I stand by the BC stuff. They have been a toxic influence.

Truly impaired.

I'm not feeling at all grumpy - looking forward to lunch, as it happens. But I get his point. Why do posters ask Phil if he knows any news the like of which his website exists to post. He doesn't in vague rumours on the news page for obvious reasons. But why would he be holding on to any story that he knows can stand up for itself?

Why would you need to know any about Aluko and Norwood both I believe we have a one year option on.

In answer to your post, it's the football equivalent of the kids in the back going, 'Are we there yet, Dad?'

Of course, the kids know they aren't there yet, because the car is still moving, the M4 is flashing by their windows and they can't see the sea yet.

But nevertheless the kids feel compelled to ask.

They do this because they need to alleviate the boredom and limbo-esque nature of the state of 'not being there'.

It is a way of breaking the tension and re-enforcing their desire to arrive and have a pee and and an ice cream.

I know Phil can't answer.

But by asking I relieve the tension of the state of 'not knowing'.

I negate the immediate 'want' for ice cream and an empty bladder.

And I create a 'safe' environment for other TWTD to post mildiy amusing links to their favourite Whisper related songs and TV clips.

Well...

Are we there yet, Dad?

"by asking I relieve the tension of the state of 'not knowing'."

You need to calm down. How old are you?

You are tense about not knowing if 2 (or 4) players are going to not be here fore the next game (or next season)?

I would say this is odd behaviour for a grown adult is it not? Next you'll be worrying about what is on Eastenders tonight......
