Derby could piss in the EFL coffee machine and they would still drink the coffee. I guess they've had punishment from EFL in points deductions so EFL aren't interested in giving them more just depends on when HMRC run out of patience

Hopefully the HMRC will wind them up . Any other business not paying their taxes and doing the level of creative book keeping would have been buried long ago. Why should DCFC be treated any differently? I bloody hate em ….

They were given a four week extension as they confirmed funding for the next month, so didn’t miss the deadline

They agreed a settlement with Boro. But that hasn't yet led to a sale. I wonder if Marcus Evans is still interested?

The deadline for proving funding expired yesterday. They were given multiple 1 month extensions following the move into admin too. Normal EFL rules are to prove funding until the end of the season from the start of admin. They failed to do this in October, November, December and January but were given further extensions each time. The fact the EFL failed to take action, appears to have emboldened the administrators to just ignore anything from now on.

I’ve had a Google but I can’t see any reference to Derby missing deadlines in October, November and December. Happy to be corrected here otherwise can only conclude you’ve made that up Derby have indeed now missed a deadline at the end of Feb, I haven’t disagreed with that point. The bit I was confused by was your comment that they’ve missed about 5 other deadlines; as far as I can tell this is the first given that the January deadline was extended by the FA when they provided proof of funding for the next month, and therefore not missed?

Didn't he invest in Huddersfield? Or didn't that happen in the end?

Esp given it looks like he may not be buying a controlling stake in Huddersfield now

Better things to do than make up random stories on Derby, but thanks for that. Alan Nixon covered it repeatedly late last year. Which is where I was remembering it from.

And yet again a quick Google search of things like ‘Alan Nixon Derby extension’ show no such coverage. How very bizarre

It's exactly that which is very annoying. Other clubs in admin are forced to sell prime assets on the cheap to pay back some of the debt. Lawrence should have been long gone and others yet he has stayed. It doesn't feel like a level playing field for other clubs than the flexibility offered to Derby.

Good. We don't need another big dog in this league. We need them to stay up from a selfish perspective as I expect much like Bolton a few years back, they will have enough to score an instant promotion back from this terrible league even under an embargo.
