The Tweet in the original post is an ITFC fan that coincidentally shares the same name as the new member of recruitment staff, and he has used the full potential of his wit to pretend to be the new member of staff. Some ITFC fans seem to have fallen for it.
FWIW- I don't blame people within his intellectual peer group for finding it amusing as it is a slightly more sophisticated level of humour for their standards. I think he's buddies with the chap who racially abused Morsy last year.
