Crewe Radio on 12:42 - Apr 24 with 2453 views | Marshalls_Mullet | We've been in the league 3 years and never troubled the play offs. I think they were being polite.

Crewe Radio on 16:19 - Apr 24 with 2126 views | Wickets | Has been a pretty poor season a season that started with so much hope . Town job seemed to be too big for PC sacked not a moment too soon then we got a fair new manager bounce but ending with just 1 win in the last 8 games is about as poor as it could get . Great support just about the only highlight but there's always next season and its our time to shine or so we are told !

Crewe Radio on 12:04 - Apr 25 with 1773 views | clive_baker | There's a part of me that's scarred to such an extent by the last decade or so of underachievement, false dawns, empty promises and hopes of a better tomorrow that we could sign Mbappe, De Bruyne and Haaland and I would still have us down for 9th next season. I've seen it and heard it too many times before, and can't help but think back to ME with his 'operation Premier League' nonsense that the PR PR machine would roll out at season ticket renewal time, before signing the Ellis Harrison's and Jordan Spence's of the world. I'm not normally one for optimism when it comes to ITFC, other than thinking the squad that Lambert came down from the Championship with should've been competitive at this level. And we were, to be fair, for a while at least before the bubble burst. But this time I do genuinely think it's different. We have new owners who want a return, and quickly. They need promotion, and they'll invest for it, unlike ME who after an initial push became actively inactive. We've got the basis of a good squad, certainly through the spine with Walton, Edmundson, Woolfy, Morsy, Chaplin etc. If we can fill in a few of the gaps we're capable of building on the PPG we've seen over the 2nd half of the season. I think we've got a good manager too, albeit unproven. He's considered, detail oriented, a thinker, a tactician, and someone who can improve what he's got. He's everything Cook and Lambert seemed to lack. You only have to watch us to notice the improvement in our approach and our ability to control games, it's much more structured than we've seen in a long time. It was never going to happen overnight, but I would be very surprised if we're not in the top 6 this time next season. [Post edited 25 Apr 2022 12:06]

Could argue only 2 defeats in 8 too! Just depends on how negatively you want to spin the facts and statistics

Probably best to say we have 8 points in 8 games..........Not great is it? Who was it who said "we won't let this season fizzle out"? haha Can't wait for this season to end so we can start a new one!

Your right not great by any standards . Dont get me wrong i'm not into booing or jeering my team and yes i was one who stood and supported PL as he took us down but a standing ovation at Shrewsbury and relegated Crewe for 1-1 draws !!

Crewe Radio on 21:05 - Apr 25 with 1249 views | FrankMarshall | 3 solid years of mid-table Division 3 so a fair comment. Add to that generally poor performances last few years in the cup. If you look at season overall= League Position= likely 11th place. Equals our worst since the 50's from 2 years ago. EFL Cup= knocked out by Newport County in the first round at home. EFLT Cup= knocked out by Arsenal U21 team at home (second round) FA Cup= knocked out by Barrow in FA Cup R2. Not an easy game to watch (tv live game). In terms of notable success in competitions = EFLT cup= Beat Colchester Utd on penalties. Next season has to be better than this one. Hopefully we will have a reasonable run in all the cups and maintain consistent pressure to get in the play-offs from the off. I'm looking forward to better times ahead.
