I think I (and probably many others) were way too harsh on Theresa May. She was way out of her depth and at the end it was tough to watch.
Realistically though she tried her best in a difficult job (the Brexit deal issue) but had every intention to serve the interests of the country. You never once felt she was deliberately lying or trying to cover up scandal after scandal. Compare that to the era of Boris who was quite clearly in it for himself with no care for his party, his constituents or his country.
My respect for her over the last three years have gone up 10-fold. Also respect that she carried on as an MP for her area where she’s apparently very popular (done a lot for the area so I read) and intending to stand in the next general election.

I’m not sure she was a bad prime minister. It is the Conservative Party which is ungovernable - and she at least had dignity and honesty in trying to do a job rendered impossible by backstabbing, self-serving charlatans in her own party
