I have to say that the two goals I've seen of Ladapo's (Millwall, Southend) have both been quality finishes.

I think he can look a little disinterested off the ball but might well be one of those players who comes alive when you need them to.

Not saying they're similar, but Berbatov was the master of that and it didn't do him any harm.

The phenomenon that Chico's alluding to is hardly unique to Ipswich.

I get that and I believe it to be the case in a alot of cases.

This however isn't one for the reasons giving in my reply. It's just naturally the strengths of Ladapo and one of the reasons I put it out there that I'd see KM bringing him in.

I think disinterested is the wrong description to use personally.

a niche perspective

If we have 9 outfield players running nuts off, and one man chilled as fck ready to tap the ball in weekly I couldn’t careless

But there’s many occasions when certain players get labelled lazy… not to be controversial, but it happens, and we know why

Nail on the head, same as 'bad attitude'

Not the case. If people can infer the meaning from the word, then it's more interchangeable than your ridiculous example.

It's more similar to "deselected" and "unelected" being confused. The end result is that the person won't be an MP, but the means of getting there are quite different.

In the original example, if somebody says:

"Ladapo looks disinterested!"

A correct response could be:

"Oh! You think he looks like an amateur footballer amongst all these professionals?"

"No, I mean he doesn't look very interested!"

"Well, say that then, so that I can disagree with your all-too-familiar trope!"

You would mean uninterested, not disinterested — if that were even a thing, because I don't think that looks the case with Ladapo and I think it's unhelpful to start introducing it.

The confusion of "Disinterested" and "Uninterested" is the rationale at the heart of SkyBet's "It matters more if there's money on it" advertising campaign.

Yes, it does matter more, but that still leaves the question of whether my children eating *should* hinge on the result of Wrexham match.

Does he not look interested or as a striker does he look a little frustrated? All strikers want to be fed with chances. It's a long 90 minutes for a striker if the team aren't giving them opportunities.

Truly impaired.
