The first women's match I've watched in a while - probably would have watched England but have had a busy month. Quite entertaining and the general play has definitely improved since my last viewing. Still seems that defending and goalkeeping are the noticeable difference with the men's game. Sadly, I think the Germans will win as they seem more physical and imposing, but we've started well enough so who knows..? |  |

I've only watched a few but would implore you to not think this has been the standard.
There's been much better quality on show than this game.
Put it down to final nerves maybe. It hasn't done the tournament justice so far IMO.

Yes, I've heard very good things about the tournament and it's good to see such a boisterous and full crowd. Finals rarely live up to the tournament so that's most likely a fair point.
You're almost certainly correct about comparisons, but easier said than done when your entire frame of reference for the game is watching men play! I can't see myself ever falling in love with this game but pleased to see it grow nonetheless. | |
