Also, well worth a watch is 'GBH' which is on All4. Michael Palin, Robert Lindsay and Julie Walters in fine fettle in one of Alan Bleasdale's greatest works.

Seconded. My favourite scene was the drunken Dalek lurching out of the lift behind the attractive young lady in the red dress, shouting "Fornicate!, FORNICATE!"

I wonder how a Dalek would go about that (assuming that it was a Dalek and not a bloke in an elaborate dustbin - is that a look that arouses instant passion in attractive young ladies ? Maybe that is the omission in my attire that accounts for my hit and miss love life...)
Add my vote to Ozark Cobra Kai if you are/were a Karate Kid fan Queens Gambit - I don't know much about Chess but this did not matter at all
My final, left field suggestion, if you want something a bit different and don't mind subtitles (English Dub available I think if you really need it ..) is DARK - German Sci-Fi time travel mystery.
A wanted fugitive mysteriously surrenders himself to the FBI and offers to help them capture deadly criminals. His sole condition is that he will work only with the new profiler, Elizabeth Keen.
Great core bunch of characters, loads of mystery and intrigue. Season 1-5 on Prime. Spader brings lots of layers to the character he plays.

Another vote for Ozark - just finished it and am feeling sad, but a great ending.
It's not especially clever - just really entertaining, although I did read an opinion piece a while back arguing that it takes Breaking Bad and improves it, which is high praise.
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

This doesn't actually have the pertinent scene it it, but it still well worth a watch.
I'm very late to the party on this one as tend to wait until I let others invest their time and tell me it's good before getting involved but I've just binged the first season of 'Better Call Saul'. Is the prequal to some of the characters from Breaking Bad, written by the same people and I'm enjoying it so far

Breaking Bad is still the benchmark for me.. but I'd like to offer Homeland into the mix, where BB was a little slow in the first season or two, Homeland was at its best in the beginning.. it couldn't keep that level of intensity after those first two seasons in all honesty, but it was most definitely still worth a watch to its conclusion.
My wife and I loved watching Person of Interest around that time also, pretty trashy.. but good trash if you know what I mean.. Jonathan Nolan went on to do Westworld afterwards, haven't seen it, but it's supposed to be great.

Agree on Homeland - first couple of series were brilliant. Prison Break similar.
I have never watched Breaking Bad - I need to

Is it significant that the Dalek took the lift and not the stairs ? Maybe it was operated inside by a dachshund. And is there a special Gents for Daleks with the appropriate condom machine ?
Also, if current series are accessible to her? the currently running 'The Capture' on BBC1 (last episode of series 2, 6/6, being screened tonight at 9pm) - absolutely superb, brilliantly slick editing & highly topical subject - deep fakery, algorithms being tweaked to manipulate outcomes considered 'desirable' by those in power, etc. etc.
