It's on Amazon. A superhero show based on a comic written by the avowedly anti-superhero Garth Ennis. Starr basically plays Superman If He Was A Psycho and is TERRIFYING.

I have to say I try not to buy anything Amazon when I can help it but when it comes to TV shows there's not exactly a small independent I can give my cash to for the same product is there.

Amazon or Bob's Online Cinema Experience Co.

If/when I run out of viewing stuff elsewhere I'll take a look thanks.

The boys is quite violent, but in a fairly funny ultraviolent kind of way.

Very subversive though, and great telly!

I'll catch up with it sometime then as it seems to be getting accolades from you lot, cheers.

I've just finished a rerun of Breaking Bad this week.

Following the end of BCS I sort of needed a fix, so to speak.

It's been several years already you know, I couldn't believe how long it's been.

It was OK but BCS gets the superiority shout for me. Cracking pair of shows though either separately or in conjunction.

I’ll go Poldark. Cracking series (books are good too!).

For an alternative, The Three Musketeers.

Just re-watched Band of Brothers. That was good.

The problem is that while the misses loved the Musketeers, the other two were not popular. She prefers Call the f£#@king Midwife for gods sake.

Really enjoyed The Man In The High Castle on Amazon Prime.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Miss Slave is a teen?

For gripping drama immersed in recent history (life under Thatcher for a bunch of Merseyside guys & their families), bleakly comic, 'Boys from the Blackstuff' has recently (about 6 weeks ago) been re-screened on BBC4 so should I think still be available on iPlayer. An absolute classic 'must-see', completely relevant to 2022

Has she watched "The thick of it"?

I only saw it during lockdown (Downside of living overseas) - reckon junior would enjoy it.

This. And Peep Show!

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Also, well worth a watch is 'GBH' which is on All4. Michael Palin, Robert Lindsay and Julie Walters in fine fettle in one of Alan Bleasdale's greatest works.

As Clive James said of the original series of Poldark, it's no coincidence the title is an anagram of 'Old Krap'.

Well yes, it could be like one of the online adverts.

'This dog gave birth, but on closer inspection the vet called the police'

'This woman gave birth, but on closer inspection it wasn't a child'.

Like a budget 'Alien' or something.

A little know fact. Despite being seen as a comment on life under a thatcher, BFTBS was written in 1978, a year before Thatcher came to power.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Succession? Too obvious? Best show of the past 5 years regardless...

Justified is another cracker from a few years back, 5 seasons (I think) about a US Marshall forced back to his redneck hometown. Very good indeed.

Reacher on Prime was surprisingly good too. I went to stay with my dad who has Alzheimer's and he can't really follow much any more, but he enjoys Reacher so we put it on. I thought it would be rubbish but I ended up really getting into it.
