I have only ever fallen over through too much drink on one occasion and that was because it was dark on the way home and I took a short cut across a large car park by the bus station in Bury.
I didn't realise the rows have a low kerb separating them and tripped forwards over one of those.
I'd been in the Grapes for a few hours and grabbed a kebab from the place next door and started eating it like a heathen en route.
I went down quite hard and actually hurt myself a bit but somehow managed to keep my kebab well out of it. Held aloft triumphantly by one hand as I fell I never lost so much as a loose chili off the top.
I remember feeling quite pleased with myself.

That is an achievement worthy of an award. Particularly as you’d started the mangling process. I’d have wound up wearing it.
A chum of mine called mad Martin fell off the back of his chair with a full pint and with perfect wrist rotation not a drop was spilt. It drew a round of applause, despite destroying the chair.
I usually go for a medium lamb shish (yes, with the garlic sauce) rather than donner and pay around £8 - so your £9.50 does seem steep but it's crazy days lately.
A chicken shish with salad is about the healthiest fast-food going.

Exactly! I have no idea why they have such a bad name and completely delicious too.
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

They were always my go to when I fancied a takeaway. Always found them much cheaper than I would spend at the Chinese or Indian, and Fish & Chips or Pizza makes me feel rank, especially the thick doughy crap American style pizzas we seem to get from those places here. As you say some grilled meat, all the salad and a bit of pitta and sauce is, relatively speaking, quite a balanced meal compared to most alternatives.
6 pounds for normal donner but adana one it is 9 pounds but if you add chips its even more by 2 or 3 pounds.... gone up but everything has love a kebab on the weekend

I was up north once and saw a place that was selling a doner meat pizza. Rest assured, I was not tempted.
Reheated doner meat, baked beans and toast and a mug of strong tea makes for a decent breakfast, assuming you’ve had a few beers the night before, hence the elephants leg.
Had curry for breakfast with baked beans, a samosa and an onion bhaji once and that was good.

Reheated Chinese is the God tier hungover breakfast?
I’m trying homemade chicken shawarma tonight lads on a semi related note.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
