It would also be nice if he could have some awareness of what is going on in the box before just swinging one in. Two or three in the first 15 minutes of the second half where he hit it into nothingness. Not all Jackson's fault, but he doesn't have enough intelligence and composure at times.

Jackson’s crossing on 14:37 - Sep 25 with 1223 views | BondiBlue | Or.....we go get macca at christmas. We obviously coach cut-backs but both of those were screaming out for someone to go get a tap-in.

Jackson’s crossing on 14:39 - Sep 25 with 1193 views | JDB23 | It’s funny, last season Jackson always pulled the ball back to the pen spot while our players always rushed to the goal line, this game was the complete opposite.

I particularly liked the one that was a shot on target from near the corner flag.

Jackson’s crossing on 14:41 - Sep 25 with 1164 views | LankHenners | He's been good in the past at picking people out when he gets down by the byline so it was a bit strange that he didn't opt for those passes today. He played well but the one in the 2nd half where he had Chaplin and someone else who had dropped off into space for the cut back but he just whacked it across goal was a bit poor really. Similarly when TJJ got in behind but went for the shot when again there were options to pass to was an opportunity wasted. All part of the story that we didn't show the necessary composure and got punished for it.

Oh I agree with you and I like him as a player. He fits our system. But his crossing was very poor today and just fizzed in without looking. At 1-0 he should be waiting for support not shooting it at their keeper from the corner flag. For a team at the top of the league, or wanting to be, he could and needs to do better in that area of play. It was really just a joke about Bonne more than anything.

He got in great positions and agreed we should have left him out wide but I do think it's valid to say he should have looked up a couple of times. One instance in particular, he had a lot of time and with a slight delay we'd have been in business.

Think it was first half when he just had to look up and cut it back to Chaplin instead of smashing it across the box.

It's basic stuff isn't it? You don't even have to be a striker to know that the most likely way of getting a goal in that situation is jackson smashing it across the 6 yard box and either you sprint like a b*stard towards the goal and get a tap-in or the defender does it for you. It's been coached out of them. Everyone just stands on the D now trying to do a morsy.

Thought he was clearly our best player today. Only one who rivalled him was Walton.

I've always viewed those LWB back post, Stiker just by the keeper to stab it home ala Bonne 10 by pen spot AM just by the 18 yard line. But we had ladapo going towards jackson?? davis sitting by the halfway line, morsy halfway in their half and chaplin standing by the D

This might be why mckenna's strikers don't score many. Fine if he wants to do cutbacks. For cutbacks we've got morsy, harness and chaplin. We don't need our striker hanging back too. Tell him to get to the 6-yard box right in the middle of the goal. As fast as he can. What's terry connor up to theese days?

Jackson’s crossing on 15:18 - Sep 25 with 828 views | Trequartista | It's the old question, do you lookup and find a team-mate or do you not have time to look up, so you put it into an area where a striker has a tap-in if they've made the run? Jackson played well today, and sent one across the area twice. On the first one he perhaps didn't notice that the defender had lost his footing and so had time to look up.
