Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating 18:31 - Sep 25 with 3889 views | DinnernotTea | Bolton, Barnsley, Wednesday & Plymouth in our first 10? Will this set the tone (again) for the season of not putting the better sides away? Twice a coincidence but 4 times already is really annoying.

Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating on 18:33 - Sep 25 with 3154 views | ArnieM | And how many of those games did the ref make a decision that denied us either s goal or give the opposition a decision that led directly to them scoring ?

Quite. If those 2 go the way they should have, nobody would be questioning things. We’re fine. We’re in the best shape on and off the pitch we’ve been in for donkey’s years. Things are good, but there will be some bumps along the road.

Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating on 18:40 - Sep 25 with 3098 views | positivity | the fact that we've already played 4 of the top 5 (other) teams and only lost once, sit 2nd and have more than 2 points per game is more comforting than alarming

Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating on 18:42 - Sep 25 with 3087 views | tractordownsouth | A little bit, but not overly concerned when you break the games down. Bolton - No bad decisions went against us (if anything they had worse luck) but we were the better side throughout and were good value for the point. Barnsley - Genuinely one of the worst refereeing decisions I've ever seen. Even Barnsley fans admitted as much. Wednesday - Their winner was offside, and we were denied a 4v2 attack on the break that would have made it 3-1. Plymouth - Beat us fair and square. If we lose to Pompey I'll be worried, but a win would make it 1 win, 3 draws and 1 defeat from those games. Not an amazing record, but a sign we're holding our own. And so far, we've beaten all of the bottom-half sides which is what cost us last year.

Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating on 18:44 - Sep 25 with 3055 views | BlueBadger | Not really, no. We've lost once in 11 games, have only conceded 2 goals in a game three times in that time, have a great squad, play good football, have a terrific manager and have ben on the receiving end of some appalling refereeing decisions. quite. if we carry on our record of 0.75 points per game against the top 5 and 3 points per game against the bottom 19, we'll end up with 121.5 points, which should be enough for the playoffs at least!

Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating on 19:29 - Sep 25 with 2876 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | I do think it's somewhat concerning, although agree with the sentiments that a) only Plymouth have beaten us b) we're broadly playing well and c) we've encountered some 5h1t refs. That last one will always happen though, so better to make peace with that. Sloppiness has turned 6 points into 1. Even more important that we beat Pompey now, else our strong start disappear in the space of two weeks.

Try the arithmetic again. We do not play 24 teams. We play 23 teams. And we have not beaten every team we've faced in the bottom 19, as Bolton are in the bottom 19. Also, literally the only top half team we've beaten is Shrewsbury, so good luck assuming over 100 points from our form thus far.

you're absolutely right, the bottom 18 is correct. 115.5 points then, still probably enough for the playoffs!

Well done for correcting the arithmetic. I seem to recall we had 24 points after 10 games under Lambert. Why are they still making us play these teams given that we obviously got over 110 points that season? Oh.
Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating on 22:25 - Sep 25 with 2185 views | charlie1 | Get Portsmouth out of the way and we will have played the rest of the top six in the first 11 games. Five out of 11 games against teams with genuine promotion aspirations and still top 4, whatever the Pompey result. Some people need to get a grip.

are you as alarmed as the op by our failure to win 4 of our games? i remember the feeling of 19-20, we were limping to narrow wins against cannon fodder opposition. this year we're playing well against the best teams in the league, so i'm not that alarmed!

It's been a 3 year tradition, we don't beat the good teams in this league. Thus far we've had 4 chances to beat one of them but we haven't. A genuine question whether this is a one off for this season or is the same tradition going to be continued?

Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating on 13:12 - Sep 27 with 1731 views | TheBoyBlue | Not really. Keep beating the rest of the division and we can afford dropped points against the top 6, although it goes without saying that it would be good to pick up the odd win against them.

As i've said elsewhere, they also haven't beat us. It works both ways and as you rightly say, we were top even with that
Anyone a wee bit alarmed by not beating on 13:17 - Sep 27 with 1714 views | PioneerBlue | Alarmed No. Annoying Yes. At least we can point to reasons this time, in recent past games against some of these opposition we’ve had to hold our hands up and go “They we’re better than us”. Not now, Yes I would like a top 6 scalp or two but i rather we beat tens of other teams during the season.

I sense the work of Russian bots. First step, TWTD, next step, the Bank of England.
